Summer Concerts in the Park
The Orinda Parks and Recreation Foundation, with support from the Orinda Community Foundation and the City of Orinda, once again has lined up a summer full of entertainment. It all takes place at the Orinda Community Center Park, 28 Orinda Way, on most Tuesdays from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. On Sunday, July 22, the Rotary Club of Orinda sponsors Opera in the
Park.
This year’s schedule includes:
June 12 – the rock/Motown group 3-Day Weekend
June 19 – the rock group Priceless
June 26 – the jazzy blues of Kenya B Trio
July 10 – folk/bluegrass sounds of
Crawdad Republic
July 17 – a variety of styles from
Lamorinda Idol contestants
July 22 – Solo Opera performs Opera in the Park (Sunday from 5 – 7 p.m.)
July 24 – the tribute band The Swampers
July 31 – funk/soul rhythms of Bay Bridge Beat
Aug. 7 – pop/rock classics of Little Dog 2
Aug. 14 – funk/soul returns with Floorshakers
