The City of Orinda is once again bringing music, movies and community gatherings to town this summer with its popular Thursday night concert series at Orinda Community Park.
Hosted by Orinda Parks and Rec, the free events run on select Thursdays from June through early October and feature live music, food trucks and family-friendly entertainment.
Concerts are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at the park adjacent to the Orinda Community Center, with attendees encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic dinners.
This year’s lineup includes local favorites such as The Kate Burkart Band, Salvage Title, Sixteen Scandals and Tom and the Broken Hearts, along with the annual “Opera in the Park” presentation sponsored by the Rotary Club of Orinda.
City officials describe the series as a way to bring residents together during the summer months while supporting local performers and downtown activity.
In addition to concerts, the “Thursday Nights in the Heart of Orinda” program also includes outdoor movie nights and seasonal community events.
