After upgrading the scoreboards on the football field and in the gym, the Miramonte Boosters’ Club is undertaking its most ambitious fundraising effort yet – generating $750,000 to improve the swimming pool.
If the money is raised, the Bill Brown Aquatic Center, as it is officially known, would get upgrades in a variety of areas:
• New starting blocks
• New pool lights
• New scoreboard
• New windscreens
• New paint, signage and Wall of
Fame
• Improved team rooms, offices and storage.
The Acalanes Union High School District and Miramonte High School are already planning to make the locker rooms and bathrooms ADA-compliant, as well as replacing the deck and refurbishing the pool shell, but if the money can be raised, it’s a perfect opportunity to add further upgrades.
Donations for the Bill Brown Aquatic Center Capital Improvement Campaign can be made to the Miramonte Mats Fund (matsfund.org), the non-profit Boosters’ Club fundraising platform.
