The Orinda News is a monthly publication with a circulation of 10,000. Published by the Orinda Association, the News is mailed to every house and business in Orinda as well as distributed in key locations throughout the city. As Orinda’s community newspaper, this publication focuses on local events and news of interest to residents and businesses of Orinda.

We welcome story ideas and community calendar items from readers. Stories and calendar items are due on the 10th of the preceding month.

The Orinda Association, started in 1946, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining and improving the quality of life in Orinda, promoting awareness and encouraging dialogue among Orinda residents on issues of importance to the community, and mobilizing volunteer efforts to enhance the beauty, character and security of Orinda. 

Signature programs and events of The Orinda Association include: The Orinda News, Orinda Volunteer Center; Seniors Around Town and the annual 4th of July Parade and park activities.
