The California Independent Film Festival (CAIFF) returned to the Orinda Theatre on Nov. 10 after a two-year hiatus. Attendees celebrated at the opening night reception, which featured cocktails and appetizers prepared by Orinda’s Saffron Indian Bar and Restaurant. Last Film Show, India’s submission to the 2023 Academy Awards, opened the festival, which ran through Nov. 17 and featured some 25 films.
