The streets were packed again this year for The Orinda Association’s 40th Annual 4th of July Parade – and this came in spite of an epic heatwave. Orindans braved the record temps to celebrate our nation’s birth by taking part in what many have called the best hometown parade in the Bay Area. All ages cheered on the parade participants by waving flags and the crowd was filled with colorfully-adorned youngsters and oldsters alike. Kids enjoyed candy giveaways – at least until it ran out – and everyone danced to the classic rock tunes of TinMan at the after parade party in Orinda Community Park.
