Denizens of cocktail land, many in festive finery or costumed-up for Halloween, packed Theatre Square in downtown Orinda on Saturday evening, Oct. 19, to pay tribute to the handiwork of local bartenders – both professional and amateur. Some dozen or so mix masters vied for awards as tipplers tasted their often esoteric concoctions and nibbled away at tasty tidbits on offer from local eateries. And so it was this year at the Art of Mixology, the fundraiser put on each year by the Lamorinda Arts Council to help support its myriad of local arts programs.
