The tot community enjoyed the Orinda Parks and Recreation Department’s inaugural Touch a Truck hands-on family event on April 12, especially Charlotte, who got to try out the Orinda Public Works dump truck. The event included a police car, fire truck, street sweeper, backhoe and more, all shared by East Bay Municipal Utility District, Expert Tree Service, Moraga Orinda Fire District, Republic Services, Wildland Corporation, the City of Orinda Public Works Department and Orinda Police. The event gave children the opportunity to explore vehicles of all types – all in one place – at Wilder Fields.
