Chair of the event, Steve Harwood, said the day was outstanding in all respects, pointing out that the “Orinda Theatre’s newly expanded stage and upgraded concert sound amplification system showed off the performers well. The seats were filled with enthusiastic audiences. The emcees were engaging and the judges imparted their comments in an informed, passionate manner. But most of all, the singers – ahh, the singers. The quality of talent this year was one of the highest in Idol history, and every singer took their performance to new levels. It was a truly memorable evening.”
