The Orinda Association announced winners for its annual T-Shirt Design Contest on May 13. Open to kindergarten through seventh grade students, the 4th of July designs were hand-drawn, while the Car Show designs for eighth through 12th graders were original digital designs. The winner of the Car Show contest is Sam (Fangyuan) Cao (L), a 10th grader at Miramonte. His digital art portrays a Shelby Cobra. This year’s Car Show will exhibit 15 original Shelby Cobras, making this T-shirt especially fitting. The winner of the 4th of July contest is Kellen Ha (R), a fourth grader at Wagner Ranch. His design contains a flag-filled map of Orinda and the iconic Orinda Theatre marquee. Both winning designs will appear on the shirts sold at each event and available for purchase online at orindaassociation.org.
