Orinda welcomed new Councilmember Hoxie at the annual City Council Reorganization meeting on Dec. 17, 2024, but that wasn’t the only change. Malkani is the new mayor, replacing Gee, who stays on the council, but without a gavel in hand. Hoxie steps in for Miller, who didn’t run for reelection after eight years on the City Council. Iverson completes the maneuvering by moving into the vice mayor position. The only Councilmember whose role didn’t change was Riley, who is entering her third year on the council.
