Carcamo, who opened the office in December 2025, brings decades of experience in enterprise technology to local small- and medium-sized businesses, while Sheehan, a 20-year industry veteran, was named TeamLogic IT’s “Tech of the Year” in 2022.
After a career spanning enterprise technology and financial services, Erik Carcamo has returned to small-business IT support as the owner of TeamLogic IT of Orinda, blending local service with national resources for Bay Area businesses.
Carcamo was born and raised in San Francisco and now lives in Clayton, though he noted that “Orinda is looking more appealing every day.”
His career path began early.
He graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in business and later earned his MBA from the University of Southern California. While still a student at SF State, he worked full time for a small IT services company in San Francisco as a networking engineer.
“I installed local area networks for small businesses while balancing a full academic load,” he said.
Following graduation, Carcamo transitioned into financial services, where he spent more than 20 years at Wells Fargo.
“I spent most of my career at Wells Fargo in product and operations management,” he said. “Over two decades, I worked at the intersection of enterprise technology, customer needs and regulatory requirements.”
That experience now informs his work as a business owner.
“Today, my career has come full circle as the owner of TeamLogic IT of Orinda, where I’m once again supporting small and medium-sized businesses with their technology needs,” Carcamo said.
Carcamo opened his Orinda office in December 2025 after his previous employer asked him to relocate out of state.
“But with my family rooted in the Bay Area and a daughter still in high school, moving wasn’t the right choice,” he said. “I come from a family of small business owners, so owning my own business has always been a dream.”
After evaluating several options, he said, “TeamLogic IT was the right opportunity for me.”
TeamLogic IT is a nationally managed IT services franchise with offices across the country.
“I own and operate the Orinda location, and being part of the larger network brings significant advantages to my clients,” Carcamo said.
He selected Orinda for its location and accessibility.
“Orinda is an ideal location – safe, accessible and well-connected,” he said. “It offers a great vantage point for serving the broader Bay Area.”
The company’s mission is straightforward.
“Our mission is to manage and optimize a company’s information technology so it performs reliably, efficiently and securely,” Carcamo said. “We give businesses peace of mind by ensuring their technology supports their goals rather than getting in the way.”
TeamLogic IT provides managed IT services for small and medium-sized businesses, including networking and cloud services, cybersecurity, data backup and recovery, desktop support, voice and telecom solutions, IT project support and strategic technology planning.
A standout employee is tech engineer Ryan Sheehan of Oakland, who brings 20 years of experience.
Carcamo said Sheehan was named the company’s “Tech of the Year” in 2022.
“One person is chosen out of 1,400 engineers,” he said. “The award is based on technical expertise and customer feedback.”
Digital security tops the list of concerns for most businesses today, Carcamo said.
“Cybersecurity is especially critical right now,” he said. “Threats evolve constantly, and AI is increasingly used by bad actors.”
Technology alone is not enough, he added.
“User training is equally important – many breaches occur because someone clicks on a malicious email,” Carcamo said.
Beyond high-profile threats, everyday technology issues often cause the most harm.
“It’s the small problems that quietly erode productivity,” he said. “Poor networks, slow internet, outdated equipment and missed updates add up quickly.”
To stay ahead, Carcamo relies on TeamLogic IT’s national infrastructure.
“The corporate office has a dedicated research team that monitors emerging threats and evaluates new technologies,” he said.
Launching the business has required balancing multiple roles.
“I wear many hats,” Carcamo said. “I handle operations, sales and community engagement, while my lead engineer manages service delivery.”
Despite the workload, he said the experience has been rewarding.
“I’m eager to become part of the community,” Carcamo said. “I’ve joined the Orinda Chamber of Commerce and look forward to meeting local business owners.”
Family support has been central to the launch.
“My wife and daughters have been hands-on from the beginning,” he said.
TeamLogic IT of Orinda is located at 61 Moraga Way, Suite 8.
“We’re here to help,” Carcamo said, “whether you need full IT management or a trusted partner when something goes wrong.”
