William Schloss is the new man in charge at Miramonte High School, replacing Ben Campopiano, who has moved on to an administrative role with the Orinda Union School District.
William Schloss was appointed principal of Miramonte High School, effective July 1. He replaces Ben Campopiano, who resigned to take an administrative post at Orinda Union School District.
A veteran educator, Schloss has 15 years of experience serving as a high school principal in Southern California and the Bay Area. Most recently, he led Cupertino High School in the Fremont Union High School District, considered to be one of California’s top tier schools.
Schloss also spent time as principal of California High School in San Ramon.
Schloss, a graduate of the University of Southern California and a Berkeley resident, also has been active in the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).
