Nearly 400 guests attended the 61st annual Winter Ball on December 18, produced by Hill Branch of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and chaired by Laura Giles and Carol Leslie. Proceeds from the evening exceeded $130,000 and will be used to help fund a Transport Isolette, a very specialized and moveable NICU unit that transports premature and critically ill infants from all over Northern California to Children’s Hospital Oakland for special care and treatment.
Nine accomplished young women were presented to friends and family, and recognized for excellence in academics, athletics, the arts, school activities and leadership. The young women are advocates for children’s health and help support the hospital’s mission of providing the best possible healthcare to all families regardless of a family’s ability to pay. The young women, pictured above with escorts and ushers, are Evan Marie Fuller, Grace Kathryn Mani, Katherine Peterson and Hannah Shelby of Contra Costa County; and Jane Andersen, Julia de Petra, Halle Potterton, Audie Walter and Katherine Wiesbrock of Piedmont.
