    The Orinda Farmers’ Market, managed by Contra Costa Certified Farmers’ Markets (CCCFM), returns May 9 and needs volunteers to help with social distance monitoring and a new service, “Good to Go” Box Drive Thru. Volunteers will wear orange/yellow vests provided by CCCFM.
    Social distancing volunteers will walk the market keeping 6’ of distance at all times from themselves, staff, vendors and the public. Social distancing volunteers are needed Saturdays 9-1pm.
    Volunteers are needed to observe customers, give reminders to keep social distance and advise the Manager of any clusters/lines forming which require attention. This may include:

    • Marking Xs 6 ft. apart on the ground in chalk anywhere lines form;
    • Verbally enforcing social distance requirements inside the market;
    • Informing the Market Manager of unsafe situations requiring immediate attention.

    “Good to Go” Box Drive Thru is a new produce box pre-order and pick up drive-thru. Help is needed 9:40am-Noon. Volunteers will help direct drive-thru traffic and distribute the boxes.
    Volunteers need to fill out a waiver and are encouraged to fill out this form to sign up for shifts. For more information, contact Staci DeShasier at staci@cccfm.org.
