While the Orinda Union School District has begun preparing for the 2020-2021 school year, they are waiting to receive definite information from state and local governments and health sources about what protocols they must follow to keep students and staff safe in the fall. The educational program could include in-person learning at school, distance learning and/or a combination of the two.
OUSD is currently convening a 2020-2021 School Year Advisory Group comprised of teachers, staff, parents, administrators and students who will meet regularly to determine how to implement public health recommendations in the district’s reopened facilities. Topics include cleaning protocols, medically fragile children and staff, teacher training and support for distance learning among others.
